Pregnancy is a magical time in a woman’s life, and a Maternity Portrait session is a wonderful way to capture that magic forever.

One of my clients, in the seventh month of her second pregnancy dropped by my studio for a Maternaty Portrait. Durring the session, her two year old son decided he wanted to be in the picture.

These are a few photos from Becky & Martin’s wedding. They’re a lovely couple who were married this past June 29^th at Bean Town Ranch, east of Ottawa.

The ceremony was held in the lakeside pavilion and the couple went on a private carriage ride right after.

Bean Town is a beautiful location to photograph a wedding. Lots of unique backdrops for the wedding photos and the food and service are outstanding.

It’s the only place I’ve seen that treats the couple to a fireworks display, while they enjoy a private first dance on an island.

It’s been busy lately, and I just realized that I haven’t posted any of my weddings from 2008.

It’s time to fix that, so here are a few pictures from one of my winter weddings.

Martine and Jean-Francois are a really sweet couple who were married in Rockland, Ontario this past January. It was a very small, intimate ceremony with just the Bride, Groom and their close family in attendance.

I’ve been the photographer at hundreds of weddings over the past fifteen plus years, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most moving weddings I’ve ever had the privilege to photograph.

Catherine came to my studio a short time ago for a Boudoir / Glamour session. It was a short trip for her from Ottawa to my Plantagenet studio, but I’m sure the drive was worth it.

We had a great time doing the session and I received a wonderful e-mail from Catherine the next day.

Here’s what she had to say:

“Dear Linda,

Just thought I’d let you know how comfortable you made me feel yesterday. I was quite nervous about the whole idea but I must say that all the worries went away as soon as we started the shoot. You were warm, funny, and really brought out the “sexy in me” that I never knew was there.

I just want to thank you for that, and even though I have only seen a glimpse of the proofs, I was astounded and surprised to see myself in those artful shots, its hard to believe that it was me. Can’t wait to see the finished “Artwork”.

I can’t begin to imagine how my husband would react when he sees the photos~ I am sure he will be very happy.

I just got back from the 2008 Champlain Commercial Fair.

The fair was held in Vankleek Hill , and we got to meet people from Rockland, Plantagenet, Wendover, Hawksbury, and even as far east as Montreal.

The people of Vankleek Hill we VERY friendly, and we had a great time meeting them.

It never fails. Pregnancy portraits lead to baby pictures.

The couple from yesterdays Maternity post came back and did a session with their newborn. As I recall, she was only seven days old the day we did the photos.

It’s never too soon to do pictures with a newborn.

They usually sleep through it anyway!

A pregnant couple came to our studio for not too long ago for a series of Maternity Portraits.

It was toward the end of her pregnancy and she looked great.
